Description
The Common walnut 'Fernor' (Juglans regia) produces green-brown, medium-sized fruits. They are oval and have an aromatic flavour. Well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil and a sunny to semi-shady location create the ideal conditions for a high-yield harvest from the end of September. Its green-yellow flowers are a beautiful sight. The Common walnut 'Fernor' grows to around 20 metres high and 15 metres wide with its sprawling and picturesque habit.
