Description
The Flaky juniper 'Blue Swede' (Juniperus squamata) is a small shrub that grows densely and compactly, usually reaching a height of approx. 1 m and a width of approx. 2 m. Its needle-like leaves are silver-blue in colour. Decorative blue cones adorn Juniperus squamata 'Blue Swede' from August onwards. This shrub is highly frost-hardy. It prefers well-drained, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny to semi-shaded, sheltered position.
