Description
The Flaky juniper 'Blue Swede' (Juniperus squamata) is a small shrub that grows densely and compactly and usually reaches a height of around 1 metre and a width of around 2 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves are silver-blue in colour. Decorative blue cones adorn Juniperus squamata 'Blue Swede' from August. This shrub is well tolerant of frost. It prefers well-drained, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected position.
