Description
The Mountain laurel 'Black Label' (Kalmia latifolia) is an upright, dense, compact small shrub that produces dark red and white, cup-shaped flowers arranged in umbel-like clusters. These appear from May to June. The Mountain laurel 'Black Label' also bears glossy, leathery, lanceolate, medium-green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shaded position with humus-rich, loose, acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.5 m and spreads to approx. 1.5 m.
