Description
The Mountain laurel 'Pinwheel' (Kalmia latifolia) is an upright, broad shrub that produces pinkish-red, cup-shaped flowers arranged in umbel-like clusters. These appear from May to June. In addition, the Mountain laurel 'Pinwheel' bears glossy, lanceolate, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shaded position with humus-rich, acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.5 m and spreads to approx. 2 m.

The evergreen leaves of the Mountain laurel 'Pinwheel' are dark green, lanceolate, glossy, alternate, with entire margins. They are about 8 - 10 cm tall.
