Description
The Mountain laurel 'Schokra' (Kalmia latifolia) is a broad, compact shrub that produces dark red, cupped flowers arranged in umbels. They appear from May to June. The Mountain laurel 'Schokra' also has shiny, lanceolate, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with humus-rich, acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 90 cm and grows to a width of approx. 90 cm.
