The Red hot poker 'Royal Standard' (Kniphofia uvaria) is an upright, clump-forming, loose perennial that forms red-yellow flowers arranged in cobs from July to August. Its linear leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows to a width of approx. 40 cm. The Red hot poker 'Royal Standard' is well tolerant of frost.
