Description
The Beauty bush (Kolkwitzia amabilis) is an overhanging shrub that produces light pink, funnel-shaped flowers arranged in umbels with a pleasant fragrance. They appear from May to June. These produce dark grey fruits. They exude a pleasant fragrance. The Beauty bush also has lanceolate, medium green leaves. Its bark is red-brown and flaking. In a sunny to semi-shady location, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and grows to a width of around 3 metres. The Beauty bush makes no special demands on the soil.
