Description
The Spotted deadnettle 'Chequers' (Lamium maculatum) is a creeping, winter-green perennial with decorative, heart-shaped, toothed, medium-green leaves with a silvery centre. It bears magenta-coloured, lip-shaped flowers from May to July. In a semi-shady to shady location with calcareous, loose, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 20 cm and is approx. 25 cm wide. The Spotted deadnettle 'Chequers' is well tolerant of frost.
