Description
The Edelweiss (Leontopodium alpinum) is a cushion-forming perennial that produces silvery-white, star-shaped flowers from June to August. Its lanceolate leaves are silvery in colour. In a sunny location with well-drained, calcareous, loose soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 20 cm and is approx. 20 cm wide. The Edelweiss is well tolerant of frost.
