Description
The Leucothoe 'Curly Red'® (Leucothoe axillaris) is a bushy, compact dwarf shrub that produces white, bell-shaped flowers arranged in clusters. These appear from May to June. The Leucothoe 'Curly Red'® also has glossy, lance-shaped, dark green leaves. Its red new growth is also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shaded position with humus-rich, acidic to slightly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 50 cm and spreads to approx. 50 cm.
