Description
The Leucothoe 'Royal Ruby' (Leucothoe keiskei) is a bushy, overhanging, evergreen small shrub with decorative, glossy, lanceolate, dark green leaves. The copper-brown shoots are also an interesting sight. It also bears white, bell-shaped flowers arranged in clusters and panicles from May to June. In a semi-shady to shady location with humus-rich, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows to a width of approx. 80 cm.
