The Himalayan honeysuckle 'Little Lanterns'® (Leycesteria formosa) is a compact small shrub that produces dark red and white flowers arranged in panicles. They appear from July to August. These produce purple fruits from October. The Himalayan honeysuckle 'Little Lanterns'® also has lanceolate, golden-yellow leaves. The red shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 80 cm.
