Description
The Chilean-irises 'Taupo Sunset' (Libertia ixioides) is an upright, winter-green perennial with decorative, linear, dark green leaves. It bears white flowers from May to September. Decorative orange-red fruits develop from the flowers in July. In a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows to a width of approx. 60 cm. The Chilean-irises 'Taupo Sunset' is well tolerant of frost.
