Description
The California privet 'Aureum' (Ligustrum ovalifolium) is an upright, tight, winter-green shrub with decorative, glossy, egg-shaped, dark green leaves with a golden-yellow edge. It also bears white flowers from June to July. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and grows to around 2 metres wide.
