The Mexican lippia (Lippia dulcis) is a herbaceous plant with a sweet flavour. A sunny location and well-drained, nutrient-rich soil are required for optimum growth of the Mexican lippia.

Care
- Hardy but frost-sensitive potted plants must be winterised before the first cold days. To do this, the pot can be wrapped with fleece, coconut or straw mats, jute or bubble wrap. Evergreen plants also need to be watered on frost-free winter days. - Too much fertiliser damages the herb flavour! Herbs are well cared for in planters if they are given herb fertiliser once in spring. When planted out in the garden, a dose of compost at the start of the season is sufficient.
