Description
The Sweet gum 'Lane Roberts' (Liquidambar styraciflua) is a conical, upright tree with decorative, brown, round fruits that remain on the tree for a very long time. In May, it produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in spikes. The Sweet gum 'Lane Roberts' also bears fingered, medium green leaves. In a sunny location with lime-free, nutrient-rich, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of around 20 metres and grows to a width of around 12 metres.
