Description
The Sweet gum 'Gum Ball' (Liquidambar styraciflua) is an upright, roundish shrub with decorative, brown, round fruits. It produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in spikes in May. The Sweet gum 'Gum Ball' also has fingered, medium green leaves. In a sunny location with lime-free, nutrient-rich, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 2 metres and grows to a width of approx. 2 metres.
