Description
The Cardinal flower (Lobelia cardinalis) is an upright, clump-forming perennial that produces red flowers arranged in panicles from July to September. Its egg-shaped leaves are dark green. In a sunny location with humus-rich, lime-free soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and is approx. 60 cm wide. The Cardinal flower is well tolerant of frost.
