Care
- Regular watering in summer is particularly important. Morning or evening is the best time for this. Watering should also be done slowly and, if possible, not over the flowers and leaves.
- Many bedding and balcony plants have a high to very high nutrient requirement. For this reason, slow-release fertiliser should be mixed into the potting soil when planting. After 4-6 weeks, liquid fertiliser should be added regularly.
- If the plant is divided every 2-3 years and weak roots and shoots are removed, the reward is better growth and flowering vigour!
Flower
Lobelia splendens 'Queen Victoria' forms purple-red flowers arranged in clusters from July.
