With its medium green leaf colouring, Greater woodrush 'Sherwood' (Luzula sylvatica) is a decorative design element in the garden, which also stands out with its mat-forming growth. The brown panicles of flowers adorn this grass from spring onwards. It feels most at home in a semi-shady to shady location with humus-rich soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 30 cm and grows up to 35 cm wide.
