Description
The Osagedorn 'White Shields' (Maclura pomifera) is a broad, rounded small tree that produces yellow-green flowers. These appear from April to June. The Osagedorn 'White Shields' also has glossy, heart-shaped, dark green leaves. Its bark is dark brown and deeply fissured. In a sunny to semi-shaded position, it usually reaches a height of around 10 m and spreads to a width of around 10 m. The Osagedorn 'White Shields' has no particular soil requirements.
