Description
The Umbrella tree (Magnolia tripetala) is a small multi-stemmed tree with decorative, pink-coloured, conical fruits. It produces creamy white flowers from May to July. The Umbrella tree also has lanceolate, light green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with humus-rich, lime-free, loose, sandy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and is around 5 metres wide.
