Description
The Beaver Tree (Magnolia virginiana) is a broad, multi-stemmed, roundish large shrub or small tree that produces creamy white, cupped flowers with a pleasant fragrance. They appear from June to July. These produce pink-orange, elongated fruits. They exude a pleasant fragrance. The Beaver Tree also has oval, dark green/silver-grey leaves. Its bark is grey-brown. In a semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 8 metres.
