Description
The Kirschapfel (Malus baccata) is a roundish, slightly overhanging tree with decorative, cherry-red fruits that remain on the tree for a very long time. They exude a pleasant fragrance. It produces white, bowl-shaped flowers in April. The Kirschapfel also has broad, lanceolate, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 15 metres.
