The African marigold (Tagetes erecta) is a popular, easy-care plant for the balcony that produces countless creamy white, yellow or orange-coloured, slightly fragrant flowers throughout the season. The dark green leaves are pinnate. A sunny to semi-shady location and a well-drained substrate are preferred.
