Description
The Ostrich fern (Matteuccia struthiopteris) with its feathery, dark green leaf fronds is a decorative design element in the garden. It feels most at home in a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, moist to wet soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy fern reaches a height of approx. 1.2 m and grows up to 90 cm wide.
