Description
The Mützenstrauch (Mitraria coccinea) is a very popular evergreen container plant. Its decorative flowers are tubular and appear from April to September. The dark green leaves are broadly lanceolate. The location should be semi-shady to shady and sheltered. Well-drained, loamy and slightly acidic soil is ideal. Under favourable conditions, the Mützenstrauch reaches a height of approx. 2.5 m and grows up to 2.5 m wide.
