Description
The Horse mint (Monarda punctata) is an upright perennial that produces pink-coloured flowers from June to August. Its lanceolate leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich, dry soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and is approx. 80 cm wide. The Horse mint is well tolerant of frost.
