Description
The White mulberry (Morus alba) is a roundish small tree that produces green flowers arranged in spikes. They appear from May to the beginning of June. These produce white, berry-like fruits from August. The White mulberry also bears heart-shaped, dark green leaves. The light green shoots are also an interesting sight. Its bark is grey and longitudinally furrowed. In a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained, calcareous soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 8 metres.
