Description
The Bog myrtle (Myrica gale) is an upright, ovoid, tight small shrub with decorative, brown fruits. It produces amber-yellow flowers arranged in catkins from April to May. The Bog myrtle also has matt, medium green leaves. In a sunny location with humusy, sandy, acidic, moist to wet soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.5 m and grows to approx. 1.5 m wide.
