Description
The Common myrtle (Myrtus communis) is a very popular, evergreen container plant, whose black-blue, round fruits are possible with good care. Its decorative flowers are wheel-shaped and appear from July to September. They exude a pleasant fragrance. The dark green leaves are lanceolate and glossy. The location should be as sunny and sheltered as possible. A well-drained and nutrient-rich soil is ideal. In favourable conditions, the Common myrtle reaches a height of approx. 3 m and grows up to 3 m wide.

Leaves
The evergreen leaves of Common myrtle are dark green, lanceolate, glossy, with entire margins. They are about 1 - 5 cm in size.
