Description
The Tupelo 'Wildfire' (Nyssa sylvatica) is a cone-shaped tree that produces white flowers. They appear in April. These produce black, oval fruits. The Tupelo 'Wildfire' also has shiny, egg-shaped, medium green leaves. The red shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with lime-free, loose, nutrient-rich, acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 12 metres.
