Description
The Duftblüte (Osmanthus yunnanensis) is a spreading, broad large shrub or small tree that produces creamy white, tubular flowers arranged in umbels with a pleasant fragrance. They appear from May to September. These produce violet-blue fruits. They exude a pleasant fragrance. The Duftblüte also has leathery, broadly lanceolate, olive-green leaves. Its bark is grey-brown. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 12 metres and grows to a width of around 8 metres.
