Description
The Sorrel (Oxalis deppei) produces attractive, pink-red flowers from July to October. It prefers a well-drained, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny position. The bushy, upright plant usually reaches a height of 10 - 15 cm and grows up to 20 cm wide.

Synonyms (botanical): Oxalis tetraphylla.

Leaves
The deciduous leaves of the Sorrels are bicoloured, heart-shaped.

A frost-free winter at 5 to 10°C is required.

Flower
The pink-red, wheel-shaped flowers of the Sorrel appear in umbels from July to October. These grow to about 1.5 - 2.5 cm in size.
