Description
The Sorrel Tree (Oxydendrum arboreum) is a cone-shaped small tree that produces white, bell-shaped flowers. They appear from August to September. The Sorrel Tree also has lanceolate, dark green leaves. The light green shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny, sheltered location with humus-rich, acidic, moist to wet soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 12 metres.

Growth
Sorrel Tree is a conical small tree with a round crown. It usually reaches a height of 10 - 15 m and is approx. 8 - 12 m wide.
Water
The plant needs plenty of water. Do not allow the soil to dry out.
Location
Preferred location in a sunny, sheltered position.
Soil
Oxydendrum arboreum thrives on all acidic, humus-rich and sufficiently moist soils.
Planting time
Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
