Description
With its dark reddish-brown foliage, Garten-Ruten-Hirse 'Blood Brothers' (Panicum virgatum) is a decorative feature in the garden, which also stands out for its clump-forming, upright growth habit. The wine-red flower panicles adorn this grass from summer onwards. It thrives best in a sunny position with soil that is as well-drained, humus-rich and loose as possible. Under favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 1.5 m and spreads up to 60 cm.
