Description
With its medium green leaf colouring, Switch grass 'Hänse Herms' (Panicum virgatum) is a decorative design element in the garden, which also adorns pots on balconies or terraces thanks to its funnel-shaped, clump-forming growth. The light brown panicles of flowers adorn this grass from summer onwards. It feels most at home in a sunny location with a well-drained, humus-rich, loose soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 80 cm and grows up to 60 cm wide.
