Description
With its blue-green leaf colouring, Switch grass 'Prairie Fire' (Panicum virgatum) is a decorative design element in the garden, but with its upright and spreading growth it also adorns containers on balconies or terraces. The dark pink-coloured flower plumes adorn this grass from summer onwards. It feels most at home in a sunny location with a well-drained, humus-rich, loose soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 1.5 m and grows up to 90 cm wide.
