Description
With its medium-green foliage, the Switch grass (Panicum virgatum) is a decorative feature in the garden, whilst its clump-forming, funnel-shaped habit also makes it ideal for planting in pots on a balcony or terrace. The green flower panicles adorn this grass from summer onwards. It thrives best in a sunny position with well-drained, humus-rich, loose soil. Under favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 2.5 m and spreads up to 1 m wide.
