Description
With its green-red leaf colouring, Switch grass 'Shenandoah' (Panicum virgatum) is a decorative design element in the garden, which also adorns containers on balconies or terraces with its loose and overhanging growth. The brown panicles of flowers adorn this grass from summer onwards. It feels most at home in a sunny spot with a well-drained, humus-rich, loose soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 80 cm and grows up to 50 cm wide.
