Description
With its grey-green leaf colouring, Garten-Ruten-Hirse 'Stäfa' (Panicum virgatum) is a decorative design element in the garden, which also stands out with its hoe-forming and funnel-shaped growth. The green flower panicles adorn this grass from autumn onwards. It feels most at home in a sunny location with a well-drained, humus-rich, loose soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 1.4 m and grows up to 40 cm wide.
