Description
The Persian ironwood 'Bella' (Parrotia persica) is an ovoid, picturesque large shrub that produces red, star-shaped flowers. They appear in February. The Persian ironwood 'Bella' also has leathery, roundish, medium green leaves. Its bark is grey and flaking. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 10 metres.
