Description
The Persian ironwood 'Pendula' (Parrotia persica) is a broad, hanging shrub that produces red, star-shaped flowers. They appear from February to March. The Persian ironwood 'Pendula' also has leathery, roundish, medium green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, loamy, moist to wet soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and grows to a width of around 3 metres.
