Warning! Pennisetum setaceum is classified as an invasive species in the EU and Switzerland and must not be traded, planted or otherwise propagated in those countries. With its scarlet-red foliage, Fountain grass 'Fireworks'(s) (Pennisetum setaceum) is a decorative feature in the garden, whilst its bushy, upright growth also makes it ideal for pots on balconies or terraces. The red flower plumes adorn this grass from summer onwards. It thrives best in a sunny position with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Under favourable conditions, this grass reaches a height of approx. 65 cm and spreads up to 50 cm.

Leaves
The deciduous leaves of the Fountain grass 'Fireworks'(s) are scarlet and lanceolate.

Growth
Bushy, upright.

Water
Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.

Location
Preferred location in a sunny position.

Flower
The red flowers appear from July to September.
