Description
With its dark green leaf colouring, Fountain grass (Pennisetum alopecuroides var. viridescens) is a decorative design element in the garden, which also adorns containers on balconies or terraces with its bushy, clump-forming growth. The black-brown flower panicles adorn this grass from summer onwards. It feels most at home in a sunny spot with well-drained soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows up to 80 cm wide.
