Description
The Scarlet beard tongue 'Schoenholzeri' (Penstemon hartwegii) is a bushy, upright perennial that produces red, funnel-shaped flowers from June to August. Its lanceolate leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 80 cm and is approx. 40 cm wide. The Scarlet beard tongue 'Schoenholzeri' is well tolerant of frost.
