The Russian sage 'Blue Steel' (Perovskia atriplicifolia) is an upright, spreading, fine-stemmed, loose garden plant that produces blue flowers with a pleasant fragrance. They appear from July to October. The Russian sage 'Blue Steel' also has grey-green leaves. In a sunny location with well-drained, sandy soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows to a width of approx. 70 cm.
