Description
The Butterbur (Petasites hybridus) is an upright, winter-green perennial that produces light pink flowers arranged in spikes from February to April. Its heart-shaped leaves are medium green. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich, moist to wet soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.2 m and grows to a width of approx. 50 cm. The Butterbur is well tolerant of frost.
