The Turkish sage (Phlomis russeliana) is an upright, runner-forming perennial that forms yellow flowers arranged in whorls from June to July. Its heart-shaped leaves are grey-green. In a sunny to semi-shady location with loose, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows to a width of approx. 50 cm. The Turkish sage is well tolerant of frost.
